Survivorship Table: December

Happy December! We have officially reached the end of 2020–a challenging year, yet a year that has made us stronger and has brought many of us closer together. This month we bring awareness to Cancer Screen Week.

Cancer Screen Week

Cancer Screen Week takes place from December 7th to December 11th this year, but can be celebrated all month (or even all year) long. This initiative aims to bring awareness to the importance of early cancer screening, as well as encourage screening as a preventative measure [i]. Learn how you can take the appropriate screening steps to protect yourself as well as help educate others:

  • Learn more about the screening tests available and their recommended frequency for a variety of cancer types here [ii].
  • Not sure where to get started? Use this guide to find screening sites and learn how to safely plan screenings during the pandemic [iii].
  • Make a commitment to yourself to get the appropriate screenings for you by taking this pledge [iv]!
  • Spread awareness of Cancer Screen Week by speaking with family or friends about their screening plan.

Savor Health wishes you a happy holiday season and a healthy New Year!
