Thankful For…

While marked by one day, Thanksgiving, the entire fall season is for me a time of reflection and introspection.  Time to look back, take stock and start thinking about the new year just around the corner.  In the most literal sense, as the weather gets colder, I think back to the balmy days of summer, dreading the cold and ice ahead, and am thankful to have had those three months of pure temperature bliss (yes, I truly love 90 degrees and 90 percent humidity!).  On a more serious note, this is a time that I appreciate all of the good and bounty in my life.

I am thankful to have my good health and a posse of great friends who surround me with humor and happiness.  I am also thankful to have known people like Eric Stamp, whose experience fighting a glioblastoma inspired me to create Meals to Heal to help those like him and his family get access to better nutrition during cancer treatment.  I am thankful for my family who, while far away, are still easily within reach.  I am thankful for everyone with whom I work – such a great group of dedicated, kind and compassionate individuals.  I am thankful that I can do what I love and which inspires me – building and running Meals to Heal is my dream come true.

I realize that to wake up every morning with a mission is a luxury.  And I take that luxury, and the responsibility that comes with it, very seriously.  Not a day goes by that I don’t think about what we, and what I, can do better personally and professionally as the CEO of Meals to Heal.  I thank you, our customers and our readers, for the opportunity to help you with your nutritional needs and I appreciate it when you tell us what we can do to better meet your needs.  Please keep those suggestions coming!

I wish you all a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving.

In good health,

Susan Bratton
Founder and CEO
